mail server outage
the mail server was down for 24hrs and 1 minute (:D) following a hardware failure. this has now been corrected. the down period was from 2012.01.05 09:18 PST to 2012.01.05 09:19 PST
because most mail servers will attempt delivery for 3 days no mail should be lost.
