All mail is now on the new server
The move has been completed and all the domains have their email served on the new server.
A couple of cool things:
A couple of cool things:
- no quotas: there's still a 5Mb per message limit on incoming mail, but there's no individual quota per say. now if you abuse this and use up all my disk we'll have a little chat about it ;)
- both SMTP/POP3 over SSL: you can use both over SSL now. use port 25 or 587 when sending (SMTP) and enable SSL. use port 995 for POP3 over SSL. Note that this doesn't work all clients. Works great with Mail.app and Outlook tho. Note that you will get warnings about the certificate being untrusted. If this gets annoying, you can install my root certificate: Firefox and/or Thunderbird users [click this]. IE and/or Outlook users [right click this] and Save to your desktop, then double click on the resulting file.
- i have IMAP working but have not yet decided if i will open the port. Convince me: paypal [at] popmonkey DOT com :D
- virus checking is done server side
- a bunch of spam gets stopped now even before it reaches your mailbox.
I'm working on a simple web based client.
